Installation of the Nest Box

On February 10th 2023, a team of volunteers, lead by Peter Merchant of the RSPB, installed the Peregrine nest box on the tower of St Marys Church Stoke by Nayland. Using an ingenious arrangement of ropes and pullys, the box was hauled 80ft up the tower and pulled into the window.  The box was secured without any drilling or damage to the historic fabric of the church.
